Parris Cohen
Parris was inspired to pursue special education law due to her combined interest in child advocacy and education. Parris’ mother is an elementary school teacher, and her father runs a non-profit soccer program on Long Island for children with disabilities. She is constantly inspired by her parents’ work and drive and has a strong passion for child law and advocating on behalf of those with disabilities.
Parris attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she received a Bachelor of Science in human development and family studies, and a certificate in education and education policy. Following graduation, Parris went on to receive her Juris Doctorate from Yeshiva University, Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. During her time at Cardozo School of Law, Parris participated in the school's Special Education Law and Advocacy Field Clinic, the Family Law Society, the Suspension Representation Project, and the Alternative Dispute Resolution Competition Honor Society. Additionally, she was a legal intern at the Law Offices of Neal H. Rosenberg and other special education firms, both private and non-profit. Parris has been an attorney with the Law Offices of Neal H. Rosenberg since 2021.
